Customers who register and reserve a trip with a deposit payment after April 1, 2021 are entitled to a full refund if, due to COVID-19-related travel restrictions imposed by the relevant government authorities in your home country or in the trip destination country, the trip is cancelled because the borders are closed and you are prohibited from traveling. If such Covid-related government restrictions require Sisterhood Travels to postpone or cancel the trip or prohibit you from traveling, you will have the option of a) joining us on the rescheduled trip at a later date (we will make every effort to pick new dates that work for everyone), b) applying your payment(s) towards a different trip, or c) receiving a full refund.
Please note: Most countries require travelers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and/or that you take other health tests such as a negative PCR test within 72 hours of arrival, as a requirement for entering the country. We require everyone traveling with us to conform to the entry requirements of each country we visit. While it is everyone’s right to decide whether or not they want to receive a vaccination or perform any other required health-related procedure, whether it’s for Covid-19 or any other contagious disease, the failure to or decision not to meet the entry requirements of a country does not qualify as a travel restriction that is the basis for a refund. Further if you or a family member get sick from Covid or any other disease, before the trip departs or during it you will need to have your own medical and trip cancellation insurance to cover any costs incurred. All trips that are moving forward are not refundable. We are making our decisions on where to travel based on which countries are open and have protective Covid measures in place.
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR NON-COVID-RELATED EVENTS
Effective with all deposits made on or after September 24, 2021: Because of our up-front costs organizing our trips and pre-paying hotels and other vendors, we can’t give you a refund if your plans change or you are unable to travel because of health issues, work or family commitments, financial hardship or any other reason other than the above-mentioned government imposed Covid-19 restrictions. Plus, when we match you to a roommate, we cannot guarantee that we can find another roommate, creating a difficult situation whereby they would have to pay a single supplement that they may not be able to afford. This policy is the only way we can maintain the required minimum group size and impeccable level of service we provide. Travel Insurance is the only mechanism that can reimburse you if you are unable to join the trip. We strongly urge you to purchase comprehensive travel insurance. We will send you a quote from our preferred Travel Insurance provider, Roam Right or you have the option to buy your own insurance from a trusted source. In the highly unusual event that Sisterhood Travels has to reschedule or cancel a trip for a reason unrelated to a Covid-19 government restriction, we will offer you the option of a) Joining us on the rescheduled trip at a later date (we will make every effort to pick new dates that work for everyone), b) applying your payment(s) towards a different trip, or c) receiving a full refund.
